set - 150 word discussion of concepts

Turning concepts and ideas into visual representations involves systems, systems that are interrelated whether it be a linear system versus an emergent system that infinitely interacts with each other. A linear system is suggestive of static end products that are limited by the initial vision. On the contrary, the idea of an infinite superset with endless elements interacting with each other suggests limitless possibilities, unpredictable results that parallels the natural world. Instead of following a predetermined path, delaying this journey and allowing experimentation of the interrelationships of form and matter, representation and materiality, can exponentially increase potential outcomes.

The deterministic vision contrasts this idea of focusing on the overall image or form, the bigger picture that leads to exploration of new horizons that promises something new. Instead of having a single element the foreground of a superset, the background elements become the foreground, like a piece of architecture as an accessory to the landscape.

concepts

Hypertextual picturesque:
An architecture of images that focuses on the overall form, and emphasising the 2D image.

Systemic delay:
Delaying the conceptual development between initial concept and the ultimate material form.

Set (theory)- math:
"By a "set" we mean any collection M into a whole of definite, distinct objects m (which are called the "elements" of M) of our perception [Anschauung] or of our thought"
